The Lumberton Twin Cinema was a fairly popular theater in the Eighties located in the middle of Lumberton Shopping Plaza. It was kind of a second choice to the not too far Hanover Twin Cinema in Wrightstown, NJ.
They showed first run films until the mid-Nineties. After that they showed second run films for a $2 admission and Indian films, until they closed in the late Nineties. As I recall both of the auditoriums were quite roomy, however the seats were a bit creaky and the screens were a bit scratched.
It was turned into a hardware store and has since become another retail establishment. The last thing I saw here was the 1997 re-release of “The Empire Strikes Back”.

Opened March 1976-1984 per the Courier-Post archives. No grand opening ad posted.
The Lumberton Twin Cinema opened its doors in March 1976 and was still open in 1989 and 1997.
The Lumberton Twins never turned into a hardware store.
But they did turn into a Dominos Pizza and a dental office (using two different storefronts at the same time) as there are, today in 2025.
The Dominos is the lobby area and the dental office the auditoriums, which were leveled, of course.
