Located in a small town 25 miles south of Brussels, the Royal Cinema opened at this address in 1920 (prior to 1914 there had been a Royal Cinema at rue de la Poste). The other cinema of the town was the Agora Cinema. In May 1940 it was damaged during World War II and the Royal Cinema was moved back to its original location on the Rue de la Post and remained there until the early-1950’s, when it returned to the Rue du Moulin address.
In 1966 it was sold to the Agronomical University of Grembloux, and in 1986 it was purchased by the city council and mayor and became a cultural centre used for exhibitions, theatre and cinema in the Cineclub circuit, it still showed films at weekends. In 2018 it was renovated and re-opened with a new name Atrium 57 in May 2019.
