The 12-screen Cineworld opened on 20th November 1998. In March 2006 it was taken over by Empire Cinemas UK and re-named Empire.
Seating capacities in the screens range from 329, down to 94. It was closed on 6th July 2023 due to Empire Cinemas UK entering into administration. It was taken over by Vue and reopened on December 8, 2023.

The former Screen 1 has been converted into an IMAX screen.
Now closed due to Empire entering administration as of yesterday.

Currently still open while it has having a massive refit to upgrade to Vue’s trademark reclining seats at last. (Which I would have thought they’d do before it opened, but oh well.)
