The 850-seat Queen Theater opened on December 17, 1913. A Pilcher theater organ had been installed. By 1919 it was operated by E.H. Hulsey who also operated the Zoe Theatre. By 1933 it was operated by Loew’s Inc.

Is the Queen Theatre at 2427 Jensen Drive listed at Cinema Treasures under another name?

The December 24, 1913 issue of The Houston Post ran an item about a special Christmas Day program to be presented at the new Queen Theatre, and added this brief encomium to the house:
