its not a coincidence i share the name of this theater my dads family owned it.I feel Very Proud to say that I share the name of this building. My dad (Lester Neely) has told me many a stories of him running the Theater with his Brother. Im glad its still standing and hope it will for many more years.
S_Neely … I think I went to school with your Dad, Lester Neely. Did his father also own the theatre in Marion, Alabama?
His Brother, Lester Jr. At 37 Years Old Died On December 20, 1955 In Marion, AL After A Heart Attack. He Is Formerly A Disc Jockey For WJAM 1310 AM (Now WJUS) Which Celebrated The Station’s 5th Year Of Broadcasting 15 Days Prior To His Death And An Operator For A Central Alabama Theatre Chain.
