Construction began in 1997 and the theatre was opened in 1998.
Starworld 20 has been Dickinson Theatres' largest theatre since its opening in 1998. When originally opened the theatre featured a total of three concession stands, the two smaller ones have since been walled in.
Starworld has four GEM auditoriums (1, 10, 11, 20) these auditoriums feature a lower section and a large balcony. All other auditoriums are stadium seating. In 2006 the upstairs arcade and party rooms were closed and the majority of the games moved into the main lobby.
The theatre has seen little renovation in its ten years and is beginning to show age.
Starworld 20 has an overall outer-space theme to its decor, and heavily uses the color purple (seats, walls, etc.) It was taken over by B & B. Theatres in November 20014.

Dickinson is building new theatres with IMAX and digital, but appears to be doing little upgrading on their older theatres circuit
wide. The NorthRock 14 in Wichita Kansas was desinged by the same firm and it as well is in need of an upgrade, likewise the Central Mall 10 in Salina Kansas has been expanded over the years but a common theme does not exist and it has a variety of color schemes, seats, etc. as the auditoriams were added on.
3004 Seats :)
Theatre 20 is being prepped to receive a Digital Projector with REAL-D. The silver screen is being hung today and the projector should be installed in the next week or two.
The Starworld 20 was converted to digital presentation in January of 2012. It now features 20 digital screens, and five 3D capable auditoriums.
This opened on December 18th, 1998. Grand opening ad posted.
