There are some awesome aerial views of this theater (and many others) at Historicaerials.com. According to the photos on that sight, this theater was still in existence as late as 1979.
THis Drive In was working in late ‘79, early 80’s. Me & My first wife went there around that time frame. In the mid 80’s, the Drive In had closed, I believe, and then a Tornado came thru and destroyed most of the drive in. All being heavily damaged from the Tornado, the Bruton Road Drive In was then demolished… Only the Entrance is left. Nothing else remains.
The Screen Faced Bruton Road. It was originally set to where the back of the Screen faced Bruton Road but was moved in latter years.

On May 17, 1956, it was time for the grand opening of the Bruton Road Drive-In with first film, “Marty.” It became a Cinemark Theatre in 1979. The Bruton Rd. D-I closed for the season on September 9, 1984:with “Oxford Blues” and “Class.” At 9:52 a.m. on December 13, 1984, a tornado touched down in a field adjacent to the drive-in carrying away the screen and doing too much damage to continue operations in the Spring.
