Capitol Theatre

Designed by Bill Landry and opened in 1939, the Capitol Theatre was operated by B & L Theaters. Seating was provided on one level. The Capitol Theatre was lost in a fire October 1965. A new Capitol Theatre was built on the site in 1967 and has its own page on Cinema Treasures (now known as the Cineplex Cinemas Antigonish).

What a nice surprise to come home from work and find an email that has The Capitol Theatre here. The Theatre was part of B & L Theatres. One of the Largest Independent Theatre Chains at the time.

Thank you again for including the Capitol.
