This theatre has been torn down within the past two months.
December 24th, 1974 grand opening ad in photo section
The theatre is now closed.
The last showings were on January 20th, 2013.
As the condition of the theatre and the entire mall deteriorated, the only choice was to close it.
Was the 8-screener an expansion of the original twin, or was the twin demolished to make way for an all-new build?

According to the story, the twin that opened in 1974 closed in 1986; the eight-screen complex opened on Dec. 18, 1987 and is still open.
