UA Marley Station opened on June 5, 1987. GBTC definitely opened after that.

The theater opened in the summer of 86. I went to see Ferris Bueller’s Day off. I remember The Fly and Pretty in Pink playing there at the same time.

Had a couple friends in high school who worked there, I don’t think I ever paid to see a movie there as long as it was open :) And it was definitely open in ‘86. Saw Ferris Bueller and The Mosquito Coast there when they had discount Tuesdays.

This opened on July 18th, 1986. Tiny grand opening ad in the photo section.

Went by the building two weeks ago. Looking in the windows, it’s all offices with regular low ceilings. Hard to even imagine a vast movie theater being in there at one time.

Found the grand opening ad in the Baltimore Sun and uploaded it to the photos section.

Baltimore Sun article on the July 17 opening, with a very grainy picture of the lobby, uploaded to photos.

At least one of the theaters in still intact, with seats and screen, and being used as a auditorium and meeting room by the Social Services office.

That’s amazing! Wonder if one could ask to see it as a citizen.

First operated by JF Theatres, then Loews, then Sony, then back to Loews, and finally Loews Cineplex.
