The New State Theatre launched July 17, 1941 with “San Antonio Rose.” It replaced the old State Theatre which then became the New Texan Theatre.

IS it possible that the next door place was the Ritz Theatre? The front sure looks like it was once a Theatre.. Just a thought.. (Looking at the American Classic 1981 photo)
