When This Theater Started Off As The COMMUNITY Theatre, It Opened Its Doors On January 15th, 1916. It Became Known As The CITY Theatre In December 1930, And The CREST Theatre On May 27th, 1948. In June 1954, The Crest Was Sold To The Rozanek Theatre Corporation, And The Crest Installed CinemaScope In December Of 1954. Unfortunately, The Theater Is Never Changed Back To The City Theatre. But On December 16th, 1965, The Theater Is Once Reopened And Was Lastly Known As The 4TH STREET Theatre (Or Simply 4th St. Theatre According To The Banner-Press). The 4th Street Theatre Ran A Mix Of First-Run Films And Family Content Until When The 4th Street Theatre Was Sold In April 1996 To Ben Juracck Of Albion, NE And The Theatre Is Closed Shortly Afterwards. It Is Demolished In April 1997 To Offer And Make Way For A Butler County Sheriff’s Department Office.
