Opened on June 22, 1949, the Esquire Theater was a tan brick building, trimmed with dark red brick accents and burnt orange glazed tile. The flat marquee angled outward from the building on one end and was trimmed in neon and “Esquire” was spelled out in dark red letters and neon on the top edge of the marquee.
