The Riverside Drive-In was opened on June 27, 1950 with Lon McCallister in “The Boy from Indiana”. From the early-1960’s until it closed at the end of the 1984 season it was operated by Martin Theatres. It was the last drive in left in Bowling Green. Sat in the corner of the 31 West Bypass. Now the site of a Kroger store.

In the Facebook page Bowling Green Then and Now it was stated that the Riverside closed in 1985 and demolished in 1995 and a shopping center built. I’ve uploaded a photo of the pylon which accompanied this posting.
So if adults are 45 cents and children under 12 accompanied by parents are free, what is the admission price for unaccompanied children at any age and those over 12 who are accompanied? Do they define an adult as being over 12? Also, one can assume that there is a seating area for individuals who did not come by car (or who choose not to sit in their cars).
I guess an “adult” for ticket purposes was over 12. I highly doubt they would let “unaccompanied” children even enter the site.
The Riverside Drive-In actually closed after the 1984 season. Martin Theatres operated the Riverside throughout most of its history since the early-1960s.
