Civic Center Music Hall

Designed by Parr and Hawk in Art Deco styling, the Civic Center Music Hall opened in 1937 as the 6,200 seat Municipal Auditorium, complete with a giant concert pipe organ. In 1967 another renovation restyled the auditorium into a Contemporary look that reduced seating capacity to 4,200. A third face-lift in 1997 gave the space an International flair, but further reduced seating capacity.

Equipped with a full projection booth, special fund raiser movies have been previewed here on a limited night basis. During the 1960’s and 1970’s experimental and New Wave films were often presented on the massive screen.

Also within this complex is the 250 seat Little Theatre (with its own projection equipment) that has been restored to its original Art Deco elegance.

Both addresses would be correct. Named for actress Carol Channing, 201 Channing Square is a driveway at the main entrance, and was official address before the latest renovation.
201 N. Walker is actually a small park bounded by Channing Drive, Couch Drive, Park Street, and Walker Street.
This link has some interesting before and after photos,

It was used for live concerts as well. The Grateful Dead played here on 11/15/72.
