Located in the southeast London inner-city district of Rotherhithe. Opened by United Cinemas International(UCI) on 28th August 1998. The cinema is located in the Surrey Quays Leisure Park. Seating capacities in the screens vary from 407 and 397 in the two largest screens down to 162.
This UCI cinema was taken over by Odeon Theatres in 2006 and re-branded Odeon. It was announced in early-August 2024 that the Odeon would close on 18th August 2024 and be demolished together with the leisure park to build a new Tesco supermarket and 384 homes on the site.

Canada Water Masterplan – Planning Application.
The application (dated as received 11th May 2018) is for the total redevelopment of an area which includes (but is not limited to) the existing Surrey Quays Shopping Centre and Leisure Park, with new units for retail, leisure, residential and other uses.
The proposals include the demolition and replacement of the existing cinema, although in relation to this the above linked application is outline only, being a detailed application only in respect of Phase 1 (which does not include the new cinema.)
