The Pine Tree Theater was opened on October 31, 1922. It was closed in August 1949. Under new owners it reopened in July 1950 and finally closed on February 3, 1952.

Looking at the map view, the current building at 706 looks very similar to the one seen in the 1944 photo. It doesn’t look the building was occupied when the more recent photo was taken.

Motion Picture Herald, March 15, 1952: “The 593-seat Pinetree, Klamath Falls (Redwood Theatres), is being dismantled.”

The Pine Tree Theater operated as a movie house from its start on October 31, 1922 until August 1949. After closing and leaving it abandoned for a while, Al and Rex Adolph took the business over in July 1950, reopening the theater as a movie, vaudeville, and special events theater until ultimately closing its doors for the final time on February 3, 1952.
