The Fairfax Square 8 is just across the street from Tysons Corner Center behind the Tiffany’s building. Cineplex Odeon opened the theater on December 14, 1990. The main lobby was built with a marble floor. One of the auditoriums was equipped for 70 mm projection. The two large theaters seat about 475 and have large screens. Other auditoriums range in size from 300 to 210. The theater’s operators became Loews when Cineplex Odeon merged into that company, and then AMC upon the purchase of Loews.
It was closed in 2007.

This theater closed in 2007, when the AMC Tysons Corner 16 opened across the highway. This location is now an Equinox fitness facility.
Only lasted 17 years.
I actually liked these theaters. Too bad, Landmark didn’t convert it to play the foreign, independent films that AMC doesn’t book at the Mall.
I managed this theatre from 2003 til 2006. Did pretty good business until the new AMC was built at Tyson’s Corner.
