The Flagstaff Theatre was opened by 1943 when it was operated by Harry L. Nace Theatres chain. It was still open in 1957. The former Flagstaff Theatre building now houses the vegan-friendly Cafe Espress.

This is a photo of downtown Flagstaff. The New York Cafe (with marquee) may have been a predecessor of the vegan (ugh) restaurant, or it could just be a restaurant with a marquee:
