The Chief closed at the end of September 1952.

Away from my sources. Could someone please confirm if the 1952 closing was final?

Motion Picture Herald, Oct. 11, 1952: “Albuquerque Exhibitors Inc. … have closed the Yucca, Chief and Rio, three small old theatres all of which have outlived their usefulness.”

The entire even-numbered side of the 200 block of Central Avenue is now a parking lot. The Chief Theatre is gone.
