Opened as Gore’s Theatre in 1913. It was renamed New Georgia Theatre by 1917. Advertised in the Los Angeles Times on October 22, 1933 as the Georgia Theatre.

Listed in the 1929 Los Angeles City Directory.
I wonder if this could be the same house advertised in the Los Angeles Times movie listings of November 9, 1914, as Gore’s Theatre. Operated by Mike Gore, it was located at 9th and Georgia Streets.
Listed in the 1915 City Directory as Gore’s Theatre, 1002 W. 9th, so that definitely is an aka.
The GoogleMaps pointer directs to a residential area not in the 90015 area of Los Angeles. At any rate, the theatre has been torn down and replaced by a pharmacy.
Here’s something odd. I went to Google maps search page and entered the address 1002 W. 9th St., Los Angeles, CA, and it found the right location downtown. I clicked on the map link above on this page, and it fetched 1002 W. 9th St. in the San Pedro District of Los Angeles, some 20 miles south of downtown. Perhaps if the zip code 90015 was added to the address above, Google Maps would find the correct location.
Still needed is the aka Gore’s Theatre, by the way. Also interesting to note is that the new Regal Cinemas L.A. Live Stadium 14 is only a block south of the former location of the Georgia Theatre. I wonder what Mike Gore would think of that monsterplex?
Aside from a discrepancy in seating capacity (which might have been exaggerated in the article and might have been reduced in later years) this item from the November 16, 1912, issue of Southwest Contractor & Manufacturer sounds like it could have been about this theater:
As noted earlier, this house was listed as Gore’s Theatre in the Los Angeles Times of November 9, 1914, and in the 1915 city directory. In the 1917 directory it is listed as the New Georgia Theatre.
