Opened on December 10, 1931, and was still open in 1963. At the time, it was operated by the Gerardi Brothers chain.
It’s been city hall much longer. That ugly front looks like it dates to the ‘70s or '80s, and it was definitely city hall before 2010, when I photographed it.
According to the historical society, the white brick on the left corner of the building is the high water mark for the flood of 1935.
the theatre is not demolished it is now Town Hall.
