The Hopkins 6 is run by Stephen Mann, of Mann theatres Minnesota. It was built in the late ‘90s just before stadium seating came in. It has always been a discount theatre, screening second run films at $2.50.
However the theatre is as well kept up as any of the first run Megaplexes around town. It is clean, the screens are large and seats comfortable, and the presentation excellent.
Stephen Mann is the nephew of Ted Mann who owned the Chinese theatre in Hollywood during the '70 & “80s.

Absolutely the nicest place to see a second run movie in the Twin Cities. Clean, affordable, and in the nice downtown Hopkins development. Obviously not quite as plush as first run megaplexes, but well kept up nonetheless. Highly reccomended.

A PDF available from the web site of St.Paul architectural firm Vanney Associates lists 25 theater projects designed by Robert F. Vanney, including an 8-screen multiplex at Hopkins, Minnesota. There are no 8-screen theaters in Hopkins, so the number was probably a mistake, unless the house opened with 8 screens and they combined two pairs of them to make larger auditoriums. Robert Vanney has designed many theaters for Stephen Mann’s circuit.

Mainstreet should be all one word.
