Built on the site of the Valley Drive-In (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Chagrin Cinema 6 was opened November 26, 1989. It has since expanded to 14-screens. Cleveland Cinemas operates 61 screens in six theatre in the Cleveland area. When digital projection was introduced it closed five of its screens. It was closed on January 22, 2023.

The Chagrin Cinemas was built in the 1980’s on the site of the former Chagrin Valley Drive-In.

opening date: November 26th, 1989
Expected to close January 26, 2023 and will be replaced by a new location for the Golf Dome, a year-round driving and putting center .
Their final operating weekend will be January 20-22 (unsure of the exact closing date).
As we understand right now, the Golf Dome golf center will stay operating as usual in its current location. After closing, the Chagrin Cinemas facility will be used for mixed-use purposes.
Chagrin Cinemas now houses 9 screens rather than 14. This change occurred when the theater transitioned from 35mm to digital projection.
Sunday, January 22, 2023 will be Chagrin Cinemas final operating date.
