The West Oaks 7 was opened by Plitt Southern Theatres on March 2, 1984. Later taken over by Alama Drafthouse who are a Texas based franchise started in 1997. They owned eight theaters in Houston and Austin. It’s a combination restaurant and movie theater with food and beer/wine.
They show slide and overhead presentations and all video formats (8mm, 16mm, 35mm). They also have Dolby and THX. The Alamo West Oaks was closed in 2012.

Does anyone have any pictures of the Cineplex Odeon that used to be at West Oaks Mall?
This was opened by Plitt Southern Theatres on March 2nd, 1984. Grand opening ad posted. later with Cineplex Odeon and Loews Cineplex.
