Although the Las Vegas Airdome would’ve been Las Vegas’s first airdome theater when it first opened on June 30, 1911, but this is not the first ever movie theater in Las Vegas. The first ever full-time movie theater to operate in Las Vegas is the short-lived Isis Theatre, launching two years earlier in 1909 and closing in 1911, though Las Vegas already had an entertainment venue beforehand called the Las Vegas Opera House which opened on February 12, 1908, and destroyed by a fire on May 26, 1912.
The Las Vegas Airdome was located in the heart of the downtown area on 310 Fremont Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101, and the El Portal Theatre was built at the site, which has its own CT page.
Opened June 30th, 1911. Ad and article posted.
