The Times Theater opened February 6, 1937, in a building rebuilt for that purpose and owned by Dr. W.H. Finney.
In 1971, The Times Theater had to stop operation to make room for a new shopping center project, which is set back from the street. A China King Restaurant is at this address in 2019.

The first “date” I had as a 6th grader back in 1963 when I took my girlfriend to The Times. I don’t remember what the movie was but I do remember all of my buddies sitting behind me giving me the business.
I have an address listed as 10 South Main Street in some documents. I would love to know if this is correct. This is from around 1960, so perhaps the addresses changed?
