The Lime Springs Theatre was opened on November 24, 1938 with Tyrone Power in “Alexander’s Ragtime Band”. Later renamed Lime Theatre, on February 16, 1968 it suffered minor damage from a fire, and reopened on February 22, 1968. It was closed in 1983.

Fire, Smoke Damage to Lime Theatre, But Being
Readied for Week-End Shows
The Lime Theater is being cleaned, washed, and walls repainted following being smoked up quite badly Friday night. It is expected that it will be possible to reopen for this weekends’ regularly scheduled nights, Friday Saturday Sunday. The same show will be held over for showing this week that was booked for list weekend when the fire made it impossible to operate. The show will be “The Shaggy Dog†and “The Huffless Puffless Dragonâ€, the Walt Disney pictures which so many of the youngsters were anticipating seeing.
The fire started about 6:20 p.m. Friday when Mrs. LaVerne Kester, theater manager, turned on an electrical switch and she saw fire start in the ceiling near the projection booth. There was no one else in the theater. Mrs. Kester hurriedly called the Fire Department and it responded immediately.

Probably somewhere on W Main. There were two one-story and three or four two-story buildings where the bank and park are now. Only pictures I found were from the early 1900s.
Found it! The Lime Theatre opened its doors on November 24, 1938 with Tyrone Power in “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” along with a few unnamed short subjects. It was first managed by Nashua native Mr. George Caldwell.
On the evening of February 16, 1968 while the Lime Theatre was under the management of LaVerne Koster, the Lime Theatre was partially damaged by a fire during a showing of Walt Disney’s reissue of the 1959 classic “The Shaggy Dog”. It was also scheduled to show a presentation of “Huffless Puffless Dragon” as a featurette for the city’s showing of “The Shaggy Dog” the following day. Luckily the Lime Theatre closed for only six days, and the theater reopened with the same attractions on February 22.
The Lime Theatre closed in 1983 after the management was forced to sell the theater by the State Fire Marshall.
