The Gem Theater was advertised in the Kinmundy Express in 1912. The ad reads as follows:

“April 11, 1912: Advertisement: Gem Theatre. The Gem Theatre is now under new management and we will strive to please all by giving Good Shows Every Night. 3000 Feet of High Class Pictures. Illustrated - Special Music. We invite you to come and get your money’s worth. Big Shows every night, beginning promptly at 7:30. Admission 5 and 10 cents. Gem Theatre”.
