Kino Cinema

Located on Walton’s sea-front the Kino Cinema opened around 1916. It was always an independent cinema. After the Regal Cinema opened in 1934, the Kino Cinema was closed during winter months. During World War II it was closed and taken over by the army as a lecture hall.

It re-opened after the war, in around 1948 and closed in 1951. It later became an amusement arcade containing slot machines and remains in this use today. The road to the right of the building which contains the bus station is named Kino Road.
