The Lakeview Drive-In opened August 30, 1950 as a single screen theatre with a capacity for 350 cars. This unique drive-in was located alongside Canonsburg Lake, the two lots separated by the road when the second screen opened on June 5, 1958. Despite the name, it was located just off Route 19 in Donaldson Corners, Cannonsburg, 15 minutes south of Mt. Lebanon. The Mt. Lebanon Drive-In was closed August 2, 1987. One of the lots is now a golf driving range, the other an empty field.

Opened as Lakevue Drive-In on August 30, 1950. It was renamed Mt. Lebanon/Lakevue the following year, then finally Mt. Lebanon. Final night of operation was August 2, 1987.
Great photo! I stumbled upon that website a few days ago and couldn’t believe all the great photos of Pittsburgh theaters and drive-ins I came across. There’s bound to be more added; I certainly hope so.
Thanks for posting this, LM!

Screen two opened on June 5,1958 across the road.
Grand opening night feature was “The Bank Dick” starring W.C. Fields. Features on the final night were “Jaws IV—The Revenge”, “Innerspace”, “Full Metal Jacket”, and “Police Academy 4—Citizens On Patrol”
A more accurate address for this theater is 223 McDowell Ln, McMurray, PA 15363, the location of the original drive in. This WAS the address for Northway’s Golf Oasis. Unfortunately that has now closed permanently too.
The second one across the highway still has some ramps visible and the concession stand foundation is still there. A parking lot for the restaurant across from this drive in is taking up part of the lot.
Please update.
