On what had been 40 acres of cornfields, Regal Cinemas built this 22 screen movie theatre at the Warrington Crossing shopping center at Route 611 and County Line Road. Warrington is in Bucks County, which is in the Philadelphia suburbs. The 90,000 square foot theatre opened June 29, 1999 with a total of 5,200 seats.
Before Regal stepped in, Loews Theatres, then owned by Sony, had received approval for an 18 screener on the site. In 2018 the total seating capacity had been reduced to 4,742.

Rest of the Best
If you’re into cinema as consumerism, the AMC Loews Cherry Hill 24 and the AMC Neshaminy 24 (the top two-grossing screens in the Delaware Valley), the Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 and AMC Franklin Mills 14 all offer a sufficient if not soulless multiplex experience conveniently located near huge shopping centers with miles of free parking and fast food.
Since October of this year, the Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 converted one of their theatre to the Digital IMAX format. The new name is now Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 & IMAX Theatre.
There is no longer any information about the architect or the style of a new theater. It’s almost like a “theater in a box.” Coincidentally, most of the new theaters look like boxes. No individuality. Put a draftsman in a cubicle with a square and a right angle. Presto … a theater. Architects need not apply!
