The Kay Von Drive-In was opened in September 1949. It was operated by Blumenfeld Theatres in 1955. The Kay Von Drive-In was closed September 29, 1981. This drive-in has been replaced by a housing subdivision. By 2022 the site is occupied by a school.

They Kay Von was named after KVON, an AM radio station (“The Voice of Napa”). Since AM transmitter sites require lots of land, the land of the drive-in was also used to site the 4 towers needed for the radio station.
