Bridge Theatre

Named after the nearby Golden Gate Bridge, which was completed 2 years before this theater opened on July 22, 1939. It was one of the most successful venues for independent and foreign films in San Francisco.

The Bridge Theatre was closed on December 27, 2012.

Had a great rainy-day matinee experience here recently, seeing “The Wrestler” Staff was upbeat, smart & friendly, they seemed to respect this well-maintained art deco venue, I hope it is around for 70 or even more years!!
