The Star-Lite Drive-In was opened on October 4, 1950 with Vincent price in “The Baron of Arizona”. It was still open in the mid-1980’s.

Approx. location for this drive-in was 4 blocks north of Missouri 19 & County Road 412, Spring Creek East, MO.

From the July 8, 1950 issue of BoxOffice:

SALEM, MO. – Construction of a 300-car drive-in has been started at a site on Route 19 about two miles north of here by L. L. Pruitt and Paul Hamaker. Pruitt now operates the Legion Theatre in Steelville, Mo., and Hamaker is a retired farmer living near the tract on which the new open-air theater is being erected. The new drive-in is expected to be ready for opening about August 15.

Boxoffice, April 17, 1957: “Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Graham, formerly of St. Louis … have been operating the Starlite Drive-In on Route 19 north of Salem, Mo., since June 1955 under a lease from Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hamaker of Salem, who opened that drive-in in September 1950.”

Opened on October 4, 1950 with Vincent Price in “The Baron of Arizona” along with an unnamed cartoon, featuring Simplex installations. It appears operational into the mid-1980s.
