The Clinton Point Theatre was opened in 1935. Listed in the 1944 Film Daily Yearbook (500 seats), the 1951 FDY (408 seats), the 1956 FDY (408 seats), this theatre was part of Brandt Theatres. Still listed as a Brandt theatre in the 1976 International Motion Picture Almanac. The Clinton Point Theatre was closed on September 29, 1988.
The site has been a number of banks and today is a Peapack-Gladstone Bank. The original address was at the intersection of Routes 28 and 30, which today corresponds to the intersection of Center Street and State Route 31.

This theater was run by Tri-County theaters along with the Barn in Frenchtown and the Hunterdon in Flemington. The Clinton Point building was demolished and a bank built in its place on pretty much the same location on the lot.

According to this article, the deceased was the first female theater manager in NJ when she managed the Clinton Point Theater starting in 1941.
