Motion Picture Herald, Feb. 9, 1952: “Fire destroyed the Deadwood, Deadwood, S. D. Owned by the Black Hills Amusement Co., the theatre will be rebuilt as soon as possible."
Address was 705 Main Street. Confirmed by neighboring Silverado Gaming Buildings. One of which is the former Chevrolet dealership/Franklin Garage that was next door to the Deadwood Theatre. An apartment complex that faces Shine Street is now on the former theatre site. There is a plaque on the Main Street elevation of that building, with photos of the Deadwood Theatre and City Hall that burned down.
Because there were several other theatres on Main Street in Deadwood, without a specific address for this one, there is no way to search the street view for what is there now. I added the Flame Theatre also on Main a while back, and there is a clothing boutique in that space now.
Is there anything there now on that site?
The theatre may have been seen in the film Calamity Jane(Doris Day)?

“Days of ‘76” an entry in Warners’ “Sports Parade” series of shorts detailing an annual event in Deadwood —-one-time home to Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, —– where locals revive the past — had its world premiere here. The town celebrated accordingly.
