The Strand Theater was a single screen theater which had opened by 1926 with 400-seats. It was closed after the opening on June 12, 1977 with Patrick Wayne in “Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger”. Closure was due to the opening of the Great Oaks Twinplex on the north end of town. The building has since been renovated, and is being used for office space.

The Strand Theatre is listed at Wadsworth in the 1926 FDY, though with only 400 seats.
The actual closing date is June 12, 1977 with “Sinbad And The Eye Of The Tiger”. The Great Oaks Cinema would then open its doors nearby five days later.
