The Al-Stan Auto Theatre opened May 29, 1948, with 1945 biography “The Great John L.” with Linda Darnell and Gregg McClure. The second feature was the action-drama from 1945 “Song of the Wyoming” with Eddie Dean. The Auto Theatre was opened by S. Fritz, Overko and Fritz. Co-Operative Theatres of Ohio was the buying and booking agency. In February of 1949, the Al-Stan partnership was dissolved, the property and equipment was put up for sale.
In April 1949, Vince Lauder who was operating the Magic Drive-In reopened the Al-Stan Auto Theatre and renamed it Valley Auto Theatre. He only operated it until the end of the season in 1950. The property is now farm land.

Looking at Historic Aerials this drive in did not last long at all. It is visible with a screen in 1952, by 1957 the screen was gone so this one lasted less than 10 years. I am amazed you found anything at all on your Safari Drive-In 54!
