The Welede Theatre is reported to be Nashville’s first motion picture theatre. Although the theatre was only in operation for a few years, the building that housed the Welede is currently part of the Community Outlet Mall.

Nashville’s First, too bad there are no photos.
You would have to go and dig around in the various places in town. There might even be a book on old Buildings in Nashville at the local bookstore.I know Augusta has several regional books that shows a lot of the old city and that includes the long lost movie theatres here.Give Borders a try I know a city the size of Nashville has such a book. Take it easy.mike.
This theatre would have been located across the street from Sylvan Park.
I wonder if you mean Richland Park? Sylvan Part is a neighborhood roughly extending from 42nd to 51st on the south side of Charlotte.
You are right Dave, Good to hear from you.
I looked in here May 16th. The building is old, but isn’t right for being a theatre by shape or design unless it was just a big room with a temporary screen, folding chairs, and a projector on a tripod kinda like a road show set-up.
Most likely that was what it was Mike97 a few of our old Theatres were pretty much like that in Augusta.Storefronts,if you will.
