Blessed Sacrament Parish purchased the Roxy Theater building on April 1, 1946. The theater operated to the end of its lease closing on April 23, 1946 with “Irish Eyes are Smiling” and “Wild Geese Calling.”

This opened as the Fairmount theatre on September 21st, 1929 and reopened as Roxy on May 31st, 1936. Grand opening ads posted.

Listed as the Roxy Theatre in Film Daily Yearbook’s;1941 and 1943 editions. Seating capacity is given as 450.
