Opened on 27th June 1928 with a seating capacity of 917. The Cine Paris was a project of Leon Gaumont and Henri Huet.
It was closed in 1988 due to an incendary bomb exploding nearby. It was twinned in 1989 with new ‘modern’ interior decoration by Antoni Bonamusa (his last work), and now had 484 seats in the downstairs screen and 225 seats in a second screen located in the former balcony. Sadly due to the twinning the interior has lost it’s original decorations, but the exterior of the building retained the original facade which consists of a high rounded pediment arch which has a large central window above the entrance doors.
The Cines Paris were closed in February 2007 and within a very short time was demolished.
