Opened as the Lynn Theatre in 1921. It was renamed Loew’s State Theatre on March 10, 1924 screening Buster Keaton in “Hospitality” and 5 big acts of vaudeville. This is one of the least known of the Loew’s State Theatre’s that once dotted America. To save space in Loew’s directory advertising, it was usually listed as just White Plains. During its operation, Loew’s State Theatre was considered one of the top theatres in Westchester County. It was still open in 1962. It was demolished in 1970.

Great picture “LOEWS MOVIE FAIR” ballon looks cool too.
Unless there was another Lynn Theatre in White Plains, NY, this one was advertising as B. F. Keith’s Lynn Theatre in January of 1923.
This one opened as the Loew’s State Theatre on March 10, 1924.
While this was known locally as Loew’s State. it was always listed in circuit advertising and publicity as Loew’s White Plains, which should be included in the alternate names. At present, it doesn’t turn up when using the Search engine.
Theater was demolished in November of 1970 as per the book “The Changing Face of White Plains” from their historical society. No sure when it was officialy closed.
