The Palace 18 was opened by Cobb Theatres on November 22, 1996. It was taken over by Regal and renamed Regal Palace 18 showing first run movies. In addition, it is one of the theaters that hosts the Miami Latin Film Festival. This eleven day film festival, held annually in April, presents Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian films plus features academic conferences and symposiums related to the film industry and Latin culture.
In 2009 it was sold to Miami Cinemas. In Spring of 2015 it was taken over by AMC

open for business ?, no showtimes availables,only 4 films?
It is open, but they are currently renovating the theater, and right now they only have four theaters open.
Showtimes available online even though theater still not listed on the Miami Herald’s movie times page.
You really shouldn’t rely on showtimes from any source other than the theatre’s own website. Newspapers and other free sources have a knack for being inaccurate with showtimes.
This opened on November 22nd, 1996 by Cobb Theatres. Grand opening ad posted.

Do you have any information on why Screens 6, 7, 10, and 11 are closed at this time?
Yes, I look on fandango last June and again yesterday, the screens were not showing movies. This is a recliner complex, it a possibility AMC gave back space
