Originally opened as the Metro Theatre. On November 8, 1940 it was renamed Crane Theater screening Brian Donlevy in “The Great McGinty” & Jan Hall in “Sailors Lady”. It stood on Crane Street near Fourth Avenue, operated during the 1940’s and 1950’s. It could seat 650 (as of 1945). The Crane Theater has since been torn down.
