- Dec 3, 2008 — Marcus Theatres installs 12th UltraScreen
The Orland Park Cinemas opened with 10-screens on November 17, 1995. On November 12, 1999 four more screens were added. A 15th screen was added on November 26, 2008. An UltraScreen DLX opened in 2008. Operated by Marcus Theatres. This theater has all stadium seating and digital sound.

It opened at 10 screens and 4 were added after 1996
It was remodeled into it’s current interior appearance in 2003-2004. My mom loves this theater. I hope they add an UltraScreen, because most of the screens are kinda small.
I just noticed this theatres listing today. For Christmas of 2004 my wife and I took our grandchildren to see “The Polar Express; An IMAX 3D Experience”. A great movie to see in IMAX and 3D! We have never got around to going back to see another movie. I notice no mention of an IMAX theatre on their website. Is the IMAX really gone or just not in use right now? If it’s gone, when did that happen and how many theatres did they get in it’s place? I drove down La Grange Road the other day and never even thought to go into the lot and get a closer look at the theatre,

I got my wish! The Ultrascreen @ Orland Park opens 11/26. Can’t wait.
