The Aviation Mall 3 was opened October 29, 1975. It expanded to seven screens on December 23, 1994. Been to this theatre only once a few years ago with my mom to see “Minority Report”. Decent sound, seating, and good ticket prices make this a good theatre in upstate New York. Following a renovation in 2016 the number of screens has been increased to 9. By early-2018 it was operating with seven screens.

Originally opened as a Hoyts theater when I last visited, now owned under the umbrella of the largest theater chain in America. Lacks the stadium seating of recent regals like the one in South Plainfield..can’t believe this theater is still open!!!

This theatre was just renovated to include recliner seating in all theatres, one screen retrofit to be stadium seating, as well as a two screen stadium seating addition. Total screens now equal nine.
This opened with three screens on October 29th, 1975 and expanded to 7 screens on December 23rd, 1994. 1975 grand opening ad in the photo section.
Did they reduce the number of screens to 7? Why? I used to go there years ago back in 2002 when I saw Minority Report with my mom and had a great time there.
Opened with on screen 1 with “Hearts west”, screen 2 with “Peeper” and screen 3 with “Whiffs”.
Somehow, all of the Hoyt’s era signage is still intact in the lobby!
