In November of 1972 the Lido was playing a trashy double bill of “Blue Money” & “LA Lover” both featuring buxom beauties in the ad. They were distributed by Marvin Films (who sadly booked many of their films into the Rivoli in its final months) and were unrated. To tease potential customers they used the catch line “almost X” :)

If anybody can remember the name of any longtime employees/managers of this theatre, please let me know. Particularly interested in Managers/Projectionists from the 1950’s.
Thanks

My grandmother took us to see The Blues Brothers at the Lido in the summer of 1980. The person at the concession stand gave us buttons of Jake and Elwood that they were sent by Universal.
This reopened as the UA Capri on March 2nd, 1973 with Jacques Tati “Traffic”. Grand opening ad posted.
