Capitol Theatre

The Strand Theatre was opened May 1, 1914. By 1926 it had been renamed Capitol Theatre. It played mostly move-overs from the larger Warner’s Branford Theatre, located immediately adjacent to the RKO Proctor’s Theatre, and only did really good business when Proctor’s was sold out. Closed in the mid-1950’s and became one of the first John’s Bargain Stores.
