Founders
Patrick Crowley, Co-Founder
Patrick is a web designer and developer who has created several popular websites, including Cinema Treasures, iCalShare, and Graffletopia. Based in San Diego, he also helps organize several local tech groups and events, including SD Ruby, San Diego Javascript, and Ignite San Diego. Patrick is also an aspiring filmmaker and has worked on feature films such as Forrest Gump and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
Ross Melnick, Co-Founder
Ross Melnick is a media historian with a Ph.D. in Cinema and Media Studies from UCLA. After working for Miramax, MGM, DreamWorks, and Sony Pictures in marketing and distribution, he was Curator of the Collection at Museum of the Moving Image and Historian for Loews Cineplex Entertainment. His published works include Roxy: Silent Film Exhibition and the Birth of Media Convergence (Columbia University Press, forthcoming 2012); Cinema Treasures (MBI, 2004); and articles in Film History and The Moving Image.
Volunteers
Ken Roe, Theater Editor
Ken is a founding member of the Cinema Theatre Association and has organized over 80 visits for the association which has now almost 1,500 members world-wide. He was also made a 'Life Member' of CTA in April 2003. Ken has a vast library of cinema books from all over the world and when he travels he seeks out movie theaters to photograph and document them.
